El Matador State Beach

C A L I F O R N I A... the place of sand, sun and glam, not to mention the birthplace and home to our brand! The golden state felt like the perfect place to shoot out newest arrivals! With so many picture perfect scenes, it was hard to choose the exact location to shoot, but when our team got a glimpse of the way the waves crashed against the amber rocks at El Matador beach in Malibu, we fell in love! Set your eyes on the serene insanity of the beach, our beautiful new pieces and our babe, Gloria!

Killing the Catwalk! A Nod to #NYFW!

As many of you know, New York Fashion Week just wrapped this past Friday.  In honor of this past week of fashion-filled excitement, we thought we would share some our favorite looks from our favorite designers. Here’s to you, NYFW!

Narcisco Rodriguez

Best known for his sharp, minimalist designs, Narcisco Rodriguez made asymmetry look sexy, yet classy on the runway this year with his resort collection.  We saw a lot of soft pastels, wrap skirts, crop tops, modern black and white, and some bright splashes of color in Narcisco Rodriguez’s Spring 2015 collection.  We love this bold, polished black and white look.

Oscar de la Renta

One thing that can be said about Oscar de la Renta is that he certainly has an eye for detail.  His runway looks this year consisted of lots of silk, embroidery, and sparkles in variations of soft pink, nude, gold, and white.   He’s best known for his evening wear and Red Carpet gowns, and we thought his feminine spring collection was gorgeous! We are drooling over this dreamy gold look!

Michael Kors

This year, we saw a lot of printed dresses, vintage florals, and classic black, navy, and white pieces from Michael Kors.  We’re talking businesswoman meets romantic belle.  Skirts and dresses ranged in length from mid-thigh to flowy floor-length, so there’s something for every preference with this collection!  We’re obsessed with this chic, girly white dress!

Lucas Nascimento

Lucas Nascimento’s collection consisted of glam knitwear in blues, grays, yellows, and oranges.  His textures of choice were shimmery, smooth, and sheer, yet flattering.  Asymmetry was a prominent trait in many of his designs, but in a way that accented the models’ features and made them look fabulous! This asymmetrical off-white look is one of our favorites!

Prozena Schouler

We loved how Prozena Schouler’s New York-based womenswear looked on the runway! Minimal, yet sleek and sophisticated best describe the dresses, cropped pants, and pleated skirts we saw.  We particularly love this business-meets-badass look!

Marc Jacobs

Military-style garb was characteristic of Marc Jacob’s collection for the NYFW runway this year.  We saw a lot of olive, navy, and slate military jackets, complete with oversized brass buttons, and short, shiny, dresses with flared bottoms.  Crop tops and high-waisted bottoms also seemed to be a popular item.  Here’s one of our favorite looks!

Marchesa’s runway collection as a whole was super feminine and glam.  Frills, lace, sparkles, silk, and florals graced the runway, flowing in wrap skirts and floor-length dresses.  Deep plums, black, white, soft pinks, and shades of burgundy were prominent in the collection, each look exuding a special romantic elegance.  This gorgeous dress was one of our favorite looks!

One thing we noticed about Delpozo’s collection is the snazzy, intricate embellishments.  This collection featured off-the-shoulder necklines, long, chiffon ball skirts, and boxy crop tops, but also some super glam, unique, pixie-like dresses with sheer, glimmering layers and lots of shiny embellishments.  We fell in love with this particular dress!

Zac Posen

Zac Posen’s collection was simple, sleek, and elegant.  We saw pink, green, lavender, black and red on the runway this year, and though the looks were rather simple, the flowing dresses, delicate florals, and varying hemlines made for a polished collection of feminine simplicity.  This dress was one of our favorites in the collection!

This year, Nonoo shifted from the designer’s usual soft and feminine style to one that is a bit more edgy.  We saw geometric pieces, knit sweaters, bold prints, and long coats, all in one collection! Navy blue, burgundy, and off-white seemed to be Nonoo’s colors of choice for the runway this year.  We’re obsessed with the print on this look!
